Temple Restoration: Episode 08, 03.06.2008
Painstaking Work
Who built Angkor? The team from the German Apsara Conservation Project eagerly awaits new findings from Christoph Poitier. He thinks he has found a royal palace and the area where the builders of the ancient temples in Angkor lived in Prei Monti. A satellite image gave him the crucial clue, but it is very hard to get definitive proof. The buildings were wooden, and wood is perishable. Each artefact his team finds is carefully sorted, because it may just hold the solution to the mystery....
